SELECTIVE HUNTING IS CONSERVATION

Hunting on our farm is conducted in line with professional hunting ethics and sustainability. With us, the hunting experience is as important as the hunting success!

Young as well as experienced hunters are welcome.

The hunting season begins on February 1 and ends on November 30, but the best time to hunt is between May and October.

Please check with your travel agent whether a visa is required to enter Namibia. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months.

A deposit is due with your reservation. Upon receipt of this deposit, your reservation is valid and confirmed. The deposit will only be refunded after written cancellation more than six months prior to arrival or by special arrangement.

  • Weapons can be imported into Namibia without any problems. We will send you the application form for the import permit in advance.
  • The import of bows for bow hunting is allowed. An import permit is not required.
  • No handguns and crossbows are allowed
  • We prefer you to bring your own trusted weapon. If this is not possible, you can borrow a weapon from us (subject to a fee). Please book this in advance.
  • A bolt-action rifle with a minimum calibre of 7mm and ammunition with a bullet weight of 11.5 grams or more is recommended.

We recommend that your tetanus vaccination is still up to date – please consult your doctor in advance. Etemba is located outside the malaria area.

We take every precaution for your safety: Your hosts are trained to assist in the case of an accident, a first aid bag is always on board of the hunting vehicle, while liability insurance covers certain damages during the hunt.

However, we recommend that you take out adequate foreign insurance yourself to cover illness, accident, repatriation and loss of luggage and weapons etc.

The hunting provider is not liable for any loss, accident, damage or delay.

220-volt electricity and mobile phone reception are available.

For hunting, we recommend durable clothing in camouflage or discreet colours and sturdy footwear. An anorak or jacket is recommended for the morning and evening hours, while sunglasses, sun hat and sunscreen are necessary for the almost always sunny days. Daily laundry service is included.

Warm and sunny summers from September to April, 25-35 degrees Celsius (the rainy season is usually between December and March). Mild winters from June to August with daytime temperatures of 17-24 degrees Celsius and starry cool nights.

Karen and Armin are really very warm people, we were welcomed there wonderfully. Our room was in a bungalow on the grounds of the main house. There are 3 comfortably furnished rooms, 2 bathrooms and a living room with a refrigerator and the possibility of making coffee and tea. The refrigerator is refilled daily with cold drinks, as well as coffee and tea. It was very clean there, it was cleaned daily and the towels were changed. There is also a free daily laundry service. The garden and the main house are beautiful and very well maintained. We were able to see so many animals, the farm really has an exceptional population of game. Armin and the two hunting assistants Boy and Gerson always guided us wonderfully through the area and had a wealth of knowledge about flora and fauna, which they were happy to pass on. Hunting there is absolutely fair!We set off in the hunting mobile early in the morning at sunrise and had fresh coffee in beautiful places. After an extensive game drive, we had a hearty breakfast and then we went back to the hunting area. We returned in the afternoon and after a long coffee break we were able to go out again until sunset if we wished. In the evening we sat comfortably at the outdoor kitchen with freshly tapped beer and cold drinks until dinner together. We were allowed to eat delicious game prepared by Karen every day. Karen really has an eye for detail. There were appropriate table decorations to match the dishes. After the meal we were simply happy and content in our freshly made bed and excitedly anticipating the following day.It was our first hunting trip to Africa and we really hit the jackpot with Etemba Farm. It couldn't be better.Dear Karen and dear Armin, dear Boy and dear Gerson, thank you very much for the wonderful time we spent with you... we'll be back!

When we arrived on Etemba we immediately felt at home! The unique nature of Namibia, the excellently organized and exciting hunt, the incredibly good food from our own hunted game with fresh side dishes as well as the great conversations with Karen and Armin made this African trip unforgettable. Here you can really say that you came as guests and left as friends! Our next trip to Africa in two years is already being planned, of course to Etemba! 🇳🇦🦒🦓

We have been guests on Etemeba a few times now. Each time is unique and beautiful. The farm, nature and animals are constantly changing, it never gets boring. Armin is a perfect hunting guide and success is guaranteed. The hospitality from Armin and Karen is very warm and familiar, so far none of our wishes have remained unfulfilled. Our diverse tours were also perfectly organized and individually tailored by Karen. We took our evening sundowner home with us and always fondly remember our impressions and experiences. We will definitely come back to Namibia to “our” farm - there is still so much to discover.

We can fully recommend Etemba Farm. The hospitality of Karin and Armin in particular is truly unique. We will remember the delicious food and the nice evenings around the campfire for a long time. The farm is well equipped, so there is nothing missing to unwind for a few days. Hunters in particular get their money's worth here, as Armin is an excellent hunting guide and really knows his craft. The stay is still worthwhile for non-hunters, as there are many opportunities to take photos. After our stay, we went on a tour of Namibia, which was booked by Karin and left nothing to be desired. We'll definitely be back!
