SELECTIVE HUNTING IS CONSERVATION

Hunting on our farm is conducted in line with professional hunting ethics and sustainability. With us, the hunting experience is as important as the hunting success!

Young as well as experienced hunters are welcome.

The hunting season begins on February 1 and ends on November 30, but the best time to hunt is between May and October.

Please check with your travel agent whether a visa is required to enter Namibia. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months.

A deposit is due with your reservation. Upon receipt of this deposit, your reservation is valid and confirmed. The deposit will only be refunded after written cancellation more than six months prior to arrival or by special arrangement.

  • Weapons can be imported into Namibia without any problems. We will send you the application form for the import permit in advance.
  • The import of bows for bow hunting is allowed. An import permit is not required.
  • No handguns and crossbows are allowed
  • We prefer you to bring your own trusted weapon. If this is not possible, you can borrow a weapon from us (subject to a fee). Please book this in advance.
  • A bolt-action rifle with a minimum calibre of 7mm and ammunition with a bullet weight of 11.5 grams or more is recommended.

We recommend that your tetanus vaccination is still up to date – please consult your doctor in advance. Etemba is located outside the malaria area.

We take every precaution for your safety: Your hosts are trained to assist in the case of an accident, a first aid bag is always on board of the hunting vehicle, while liability insurance covers certain damages during the hunt.

However, we recommend that you take out adequate foreign insurance yourself to cover illness, accident, repatriation and loss of luggage and weapons etc.

The hunting provider is not liable for any loss, accident, damage or delay.

220-volt electricity and mobile phone reception are available.

For hunting, we recommend durable clothing in camouflage or discreet colours and sturdy footwear. An anorak or jacket is recommended for the morning and evening hours, while sunglasses, sun hat and sunscreen are necessary for the almost always sunny days. Daily laundry service is included.

Warm and sunny summers from September to April, 25-35 degrees Celsius (the rainy season is usually between December and March). Mild winters from June to August with daytime temperatures of 17-24 degrees Celsius and starry cool nights.

I wholeheartedly agree with the many positive reviews. In May, I visited this beautiful hunting farm in Namibia with my partner (a hunter) and a couple of friends who aren't hunters. From the very first moment, we felt welcome.

Karen and Armin are exceptionally hospitable hosts with a great deal of heart and passion for what they do. The accommodation was always impeccably clean, tastefully furnished, and perfectly suited to the farm's unique ambiance.

The food was also outstanding: the dishes were superb and prepared with great care. We unanimously agreed that the zebra liver was the best we have ever eaten. The cold-smoked kudu and springbok were also absolute delights. The Windhoek Lager beer, freshly tapped by Armin, paired perfectly with the game dishes.

The hunts were exciting, thrilling, and superbly organized. The farm boasts a high density of game and impressive trophy animals. It's worth noting that there is no overhunting. The entire hunting operation is organized with the utmost professionalism, down to the smallest detail.

As a trained gamekeeper and professional hunter myself, and having hunted in many different areas, I can confidently say this. The value for money is virtually unbeatable compared to other farms.

A huge thank you goes to Karen and Armin, as well as the entire team, especially the guides Boy and Gerson, who made our stay an unforgettable experience.

Besides the hunt, we learned an incredible amount about the geological history of Africa, the history of Namibia, different ethnic groups, and the flora and fauna. The inspiring conversations and evenings spent together will stay with us for a long time.

To this day, we fondly remember this special trip and hope to return soon.

This was our second visit to Etemba Farm, but certainly not our last. Everything is just perfect: the farm's ambiance, the accommodations, and the excellent food.

From a hunting perspective, our trips have been more than successful every time! You always have the guesthouse to yourself. The garden is absolutely enchanting. On warm afternoons, you can relax by or in the pool and enjoy the absolute peace and quiet.

We had a wonderful time and will always look back on it fondly!

I spent the most wonderful moments of my hunting life at Etemba Farm.
The fascinating nature and perfectly organized hunt will remain in my memory forever.
The wonderful accommodations and the wonderful food served each day by Karen made me feel like I was in the Land of Dreams!
Armin and Karen provided us with truly friendly care every day – from the moment we arrived until the end of our stay.
I especially thank Armin for taking care of my 82-year-old father during the hunt, who, thanks to him, secured some wonderful trophies.
I left Etemba over a week ago – but my heart is still there!

I had a wonderful and memorable experience staying with Karen and Amin. Them and the rest of their employees were very friendly and very professional. I went with other 4 friends and everyone were very happy for the excellent service and for their kind and welcoming hospitality. I highly reccomend this place.
Karen and Armin are truly warm and welcoming people; we received a wonderful reception. Our room was in a bungalow on the grounds of the main house. It has three comfortably furnished rooms, two bathrooms, and a living room with a refrigerator and coffee and tea making facilities. The refrigerator, along with coffee and tea, was restocked daily with cold drinks. It was very clean, with daily cleaning and towel changes. A complimentary daily laundry service is also provided. The garden and the main house are beautiful and very well-maintained. We saw so many animals; the farm truly has an exceptional wildlife population. Armin and the two hunting assistants, Boy and Gerson, always guided us wonderfully through the hunting grounds and possess a wealth of knowledge about the flora and fauna, which they were happy to share. Hunting there is conducted in an absolutely ethical manner! Early each morning at sunrise, we set off in the hunting vehicle, stopping for fresh coffee at beautiful spots. After an extensive game drive, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast before heading back out into the hunting area. We returned around mid-afternoon, and after a leisurely coffee break, we were free to go back out until sunset if we wished. In the evenings, we relaxed by the outdoor kitchen, enjoying freshly tapped beer and cold drinks until dinner.

Every day, Karen treated us to delicious game prepared by her. Karen truly has an eye for detail. The table decorations perfectly complemented each dish. After dinner, we simply collapsed into our freshly made beds, happy and content, eagerly anticipating the next day.

This was our first hunting trip to Africa, and we absolutely struck gold with Etemba Farm. It couldn't have been better.

Dear Karen and Armin, dear Boy and Gerson, thank you so much for the wonderful time we spent with you… we'll be back!

When we arrived on Etemba we immediately felt at home! The unique nature of Namibia, the excellently organized and exciting hunt, the incredibly good food from our own hunted game with fresh side dishes as well as the great conversations with Karen and Armin made this African trip unforgettable. Here you can really say that you came as guests and left as friends!
Our next trip to Africa in two years is already being planned, of course to Etemba! 🇳🇦🦒🦓

We have been guests on Etemeba a few times now. Each time is unique and beautiful. The farm, nature and animals are constantly changing, it never gets boring. Armin is a perfect hunting guide and success is guaranteed. The hospitality from Armin and Karen is very warm and familiar, so far none of our wishes have remained unfulfilled. Our diverse tours were also perfectly organized and individually tailored by Karen. We took our evening sundowner home with us and always fondly remember our impressions and experiences. We will definitely come back to Namibia to “our” farm - there is still so much to discover.

We can fully recommend Etemba Farm. The hospitality of Karin and Armin in particular is truly unique. We will remember the delicious food and the nice evenings around the campfire for a long time. The farm is well equipped, so there is nothing missing to unwind for a few days. Hunters in particular get their money's worth here, as Armin is an excellent hunting guide and really knows his craft. The stay is still worthwhile for non-hunters, as there are many opportunities to take photos. After our stay, we went on a tour of Namibia, which was booked by Karin and left nothing to be desired. We'll definitely be back!
