SELECTIVE HUNTING IS CONSERVATION

Hunting on our farm is conducted in line with professional hunting ethics and sustainability. With us, the hunting experience is as important as the hunting success!

Young as well as experienced hunters are welcome.

The hunting season begins on February 1 and ends on November 30, but the best time to hunt is between May and October.

Please check with your travel agent whether a visa is required to enter Namibia. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months.

A deposit is due with your reservation. Upon receipt of this deposit, your reservation is valid and confirmed. The deposit will only be refunded after written cancellation more than six months prior to arrival or by special arrangement.

  • Weapons can be imported into Namibia without any problems. We will send you the application form for the import permit in advance.
  • The import of bows for bow hunting is allowed. An import permit is not required.
  • No handguns and crossbows are allowed
  • We prefer you to bring your own trusted weapon. If this is not possible, you can borrow a weapon from us (subject to a fee). Please book this in advance.
  • A bolt-action rifle with a minimum calibre of 7mm and ammunition with a bullet weight of 11.5 grams or more is recommended.

We recommend that your tetanus vaccination is still up to date – please consult your doctor in advance. Etemba is located outside the malaria area.

We take every precaution for your safety: Your hosts are trained to assist in the case of an accident, a first aid bag is always on board of the hunting vehicle, while liability insurance covers certain damages during the hunt.

However, we recommend that you take out adequate foreign insurance yourself to cover illness, accident, repatriation and loss of luggage and weapons etc.

The hunting provider is not liable for any loss, accident, damage or delay.

220-volt electricity and mobile phone reception are available.

For hunting, we recommend durable clothing in camouflage or discreet colours and sturdy footwear. An anorak or jacket is recommended for the morning and evening hours, while sunglasses, sun hat and sunscreen are necessary for the almost always sunny days. Daily laundry service is included.

Warm and sunny summers from September to April, 25-35 degrees Celsius (the rainy season is usually between December and March). Mild winters from June to August with daytime temperatures of 17-24 degrees Celsius and starry cool nights.
